I tend to sleep on my back, and I have sleep apnea, and I don't like the CPAP... this hadn't been much a problem until recently, when I discovered that my blood pressure had risen to the point that I suddenly had type 1 hypertension (I had always had reasonably low blood pressure in the past). After discussing with my doctor, she suggested I try changing how I sleep, and after a month or so of side-sleeping with this get-up, my BP has dropped back down into the normal range. It's incredible how such a small change has made such a big difference. I also really enjoy wrapping around the body-pillow like a koala.
