Medgadget Editor Kenan Raddawi, MD, recently provided a review of the MedCline Reflux Relief System to determine if the system would be helpful for his occasional nighttime acid reflux symptoms. Prior to testing MedCline, Dr. Radawi used a traditional bed wedge to address his intermittent symptoms but found the traditional wedge to be uncomfortable, ineffective, and difficult to use for side sleeping. Dr. Raddawi tested the MedCline Reflux Relief System for one week and reported significant relief in his reflux symptoms, such as regurgitation and the bitter taste he sometimes experienced in the back of his throat. As a bonus, his wife also noted that he stopped snoring. Dr. Raddawi found MedCline to be significantly more comfortable than his old traditional bed wedge. The review concluded by stating that after the initial acclamation period of adjusting to the new sleep position, MedCline will allow those suffering from nocturnal reflux to finally enjoy a peaceful and restful night’s sleep.
